Find Your Perfect Home

Whether you’re a first time buyer or new to New Jersey, I’m here to help you every step of the way. No matter what sort of property you’re looking for, I’ll provide expert, caring and candid advice throughout what will be one of the most important transactions of your life. That’s my professional commitment to you.

WHY YOU NEED A REALTOR® IN YOUR CORNER

Did you know that the services of a Realtor are essentially free to home buyers?

The seller is responsible for all real estate agent fees, so you don’t have to pay a penny for representation by a licensed real estate professional when buying a home.

Your Realtor will be able to help you with nearly every step in the buying process:

  1. Get recommendations for local lenders and guidance through the pre-approval process.

  2. Your Realtor’s connections can help you be among the first to know about a new listing. Your Realtor will also know the neighborhoods and the homes on the market, so he or she can help you decide if a house is worth your time.

  3. A Realtor is a professional negotiator. Take advantage of your Realtor’s market knowledge and negotiating skills when it comes time to make an offer.

  4. Your Realtor will be busy during escrow, making sure the transaction is on track to close as expected. He or she may also need to negotiate on your behalf if the home inspection warrants a renegotiation with the sellers.

  5. Get help determining which of the items on the home inspection are a priority and which are only listed because the inspector did a thorough job.

  6. Your Realtor will be there to hand over your keys and help you celebrate the next chapter of your life on closing day.

And again, as the home buyer, you don’t pay any Realtor fees, so you have nothing to lose by hiring a Realtor to represent you in the purchase of your new home.

WHY YOU NEED A REALTOR® IN YOUR CORNER

If you want to sell your home quickly and for a good price, having an experienced Realtor in your corner is critical. While you may only sell a few homes in your entire life, your Realtor may sell a few homes every single month. With this continuous exposure to the ever-changing local real estate market, your Realtor will be able to guide you throughout the process with insight that can only be gained through this hands-on experience.

There’s a good reason why only 7% of homes sell For Sale By Owner (FSBO): selling a home requires a lot more specialized information than the average person realizes!

Your Realtor will be able to help you with every step in the selling process:

  1. Get expert advice on the current value of your property while you’re deciding whether to sell your home.

  2. Have your Realtor walk through your house to offer a professional opinion on how well the house currently shows, as well as get tips on how to quickly and inexpensively increase the appeal of the property.

  3. Get your house listed on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), syndicated to websites like Zillow®, Trulia®, and Realtor.com® to reach potential buyers and their agents. A good Realtor will create a custom marketing plan for maximum impact. We’ll discuss some specific methods of marketing I use for my sellers in the next section.

  4. Get logistical guidance on your next move, whether that means buying a new home, finding a rental, or just packing and moving.

  5. Have your Realtor analyze incoming offers. Your Realtor will review the price and all the terms to help you decide whether an offer is advantageous for you. He or she can also help you negotiate the original offer and draft a counteroffer if needed to get you the best possible terms.

  6. Your Realtor will be busy during escrow, making sure the transaction is on track to close as expected. He or she may also need to negotiate on your behalf if the buyer wants to change the original terms following the home inspection.

  7. And your Realtor will be right there to help you celebrate the next chapter of your life on closing day.

All this assistance means more money in your pocket, even after paying agent commissions. Did you know that the average American FSBO home sells for $200,000 while the average Realtor-listed home sells for $265,000? Granted, these figures may be skewed because owners of low-value homes may be more likely to go the FSBO route, but it’s still a striking difference in the sales price.

WHY YOU NEED A REALTOR® IN YOUR CORNER

If you've always shopped for homes or apartments for rent alone, you may have been missing out on one of the most valuable resources available for renters: Realtors. Most people think of real estate agents as facilitators of property sales and purchases, but their intimate knowledge of the real estate market can also benefit renters like you in a variety of ways. While you can do a lot of studying on your own about the local rental market, a Realtor works landlords and renters every day, and that kind of experience and knowledge is impossible to duplicate.

Whether you prefer to search through local rental magazines or online listings on Craigslist, it can be hard to get a complete picture of all rentals available in your area when you have a limited amount of time and resources. That's because not every property uses every advertising tool available to display their rental. In fact, Realtors often have information about apartments and houses that don't get advertised to the public at large through MLS listings. The only way you can take advantage of these private listings is to work with an agent who's connected to a multiple listings service.
